Handoffs

The working-out behind a day of work, kept where it was long enough that the commits and the record that came out of it leave the question unanswered: what was measured, what was tried and dropped, and what was still open at the end.

Each note is dated and stays as it was written — it says what was known that day, which is what makes it worth reading later. A decision that came out of one lives in adr/, and that is the thing to read first; a handoff is the evidence under it.
